With limited time, here's a very brief recap of our last few weeks:
In addition to preschool, Oliver started a Wednesday night program at our church called AWANA. He is loving it! The memory verses are a little tough for him, but he's getting there.
Oliver and I spent an afternoon at the local Osseo Lion's Roar one Saturday, and he had a blast. There was face painting, rides, characters, treats and more. Yeah!
Sadly, one of Tony's uncles passed away unexpectedly. As it is with these things, the occasion was heartbreaking but seeing family was very nice. Many had not met Oliver, so it was a nice to introduce him to the family.
A couple of weekends ago, we had a great time taking Oliver to Como Town to ride the rides.
Shortly after (a couple hours), Oliver got very sick. Bad virus, high temp and sore throat. After what we thought was the end of it, he got a bad cough and runny nose. Fast forward to Wednesday (over a week and a half after it started) and I brought him in to the doctor. Diagnosis: pneumonia. Poor guy! He's missed a three days of school and has been really sick, but thanks to antibiotics he's finally on the mend.
Favorite new words and phrases: almost there; maybe later; just a little bit. Today I also heard him use his last name for the first time!
